Wrightsville Beach Elementary School will be able to hire a full-time teaching assistant and two part-time tutors next year, thanks to the 4th annual Casino Night held on February 4th at The Country Club of Landfall, sponsored by the WBS Foundation.  This year’s event – which attracted more than 250 people and a record number of sponsors – was the most successful yet, according to Beth Adams of The WBS Foundation.

The Foundation was founded in 2012 to provide extra financial support to the school. During that time, the Foundation has played an important role in the school’s rise to national renown, culminating in its recent selection as one of the 100 best elementary schools in the country.

Over the years, the Foundation has helped the school purchase a variety of supporting technology and materials, including IPads, SmartBoards™, books, manuals, and more. This year’s donation is the first to go for human resources, Adams said.

Landfall Realty has been a proud supporter of the WBS Foundation since its inception and has sponsored the Casino Night event since it started.

The Landfall Council of Associations (COA) invites you to join the fun at this year’s SpringFest at the Landfall Recreation Park on Saturday, April 22 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The event is sponsored by Landfall Realty and hosted by the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) at Landfall.

Bicycle safety is the prime focus of this year’s event. CERT members will be on hand to demonstrate safe riding practices and the latest in bicycle safety gear. They’ll also provide free safety inspections for residents who bring their bikes to the event. Younger riders can test their skills on a bicycle safety circuit, with prizes for every youngster who completes it without mishap.

There’ll also be plenty of great food, a raffle, and a vintage car show, featuring a number of prized vehicles from the collections of Landfall residents.  For more information, please call the COA at (910)-256-7651.

Landfall Realty Welcomes Lazzaro

Posted by

We’re excited to announce that Kelli Lazzaro is the newest member of the Landfall Realty sales team.  While she may be new to Landfall Realty, she’s no stranger to the Landfall community.   In fact, she probably knows more about the Landfall lifestyle than most of the real estate professionals in the Wilmington area.  That’s because she served as Membership and Marketing Director of the Country Club of Landfall for the last 15 years, helping produce a dramatic increase in membership and overseeing its emergence as one of the premier private clubs in North Carolina and the entire Southeast.

“Kelli is a great addition to our team,” says Ken Kirkman, Landfall Realty General Manager. “She knows practically everybody in the community. But more importantly they know her. They trust her. And they know how dedicated she is to this community and how hard she’s worked on its behalf.”

Kelli is a Massachusetts native who came south to attend UNC-Wilmington. Until earning her real estate license, she spent her entire professional career in private club management.  “Real estate is the perfect move for me,” Kelli said. “I enjoy working with people and helping them fulfill their dreams. I’m so grateful to Landfall Realty for this opportunity.”

Kelli and her husband, Andy, have two daughters and two “crazy” dogs. They enjoy an active coastal lifestyle – boating, kayaking, and just relaxing on the beach.
