It’s one of the premier events of the Summer, the Downtown Sundown Concert series! Enjoy great music while watching the sun set over the scenic Cape Fear River.
The Downtown Sundown Concerts take place at Water St and Princess St every Friday night in the summer from 6:30 until 10:00. This is the 13th year the season-long event will take place. The event is free, but there is beer, wine, and food for sale.
This week’s band is Hey Johnny Park, a Foo Fighters tribute band. Additional bands playing this summer are Satisfaction (a Rolling Stones tribute band), The Core (Eric Clapton tribute), 20 Ride (Zac Brown tribute), Funky Monks (Red Hot Chili Peppers tribute), and Abbey Road Live (Beatles tribute).
Downtown Sundown is the perfect opportunity to experience everything Historic Downtown Wilmington has to offer. There are quaint shops, delicious restaurants, art galleries, and historic sites.
