Whether you’re an avid deep sea fisherman or you just enjoy being on the open sea, if you’re planning on being in the Landfall NC or Wilmington, NC area this coming week you might want to join the excitement of the 36th Annual Cape Fear Blue Marlin Tournament taking place June 25-27.
The adventure begins at 3:00PM on June 25 with registration for all competitors at the Wrightsville Beach Marina. A Captain’s party follows from 6:00-9:00PM that same day. Fishing times are Friday and Saturday from 8:30AM-3:00PM. Friday’s festivities will end with a cookout starting at 6:00PM and Saturday’s Grand Finale Party starts at 7:00PM and will end at 10:00PM. The Awards Ceremony takes place during the Finale Party.
Once again the headquarters and weigh station will be at Wrightsville Beach Marina and Bluewater Grill will host all of the tournament’s social functions. This year’s tournament is expected to be the best ever, so if you’d like to participate, or even if you’d just like to be a spectator, plan on getting to Wrightsville Beach for all the Blue Marlin action.
