Its time for the 9th Annual Cold Stroke Classic! This popular stand up paddle boarding competition takes place at Wrightsville Beach this Saturday. Starting at 10:00am, the race featuring two different courses, and multiple divisions begins. There is the 3.5 mile Short Course and the 7 mile Long Course. The race starts at the Blockade Runner and paddle around Harbor Island, with Long Course competitors paddling around the island twice.
There are over $6,000 of cash prizes, which will be awarded to the winners from multiple divisions. Additional proceeds from the event go to Nourish NC, an organization that helps feed 668 children every weekend who would otherwise go hungry.
