The 440th North Carolina Army National Guard Band will be performing in Riverfront Park and the evening’s festivities end with the 13th Annual Battleship Blast, a huge choreographed fireworks display beginning at 9:05PM that explodes over the Battleship North Carolina. The City will be closing streets beginning at 2PM and will direct traffic during and after the event. For those viewing the fireworks along the river bring your radios and tune to WGNI 102.7. Primary viewing of the fireworks will be from downtown and WECT-TV 6 will also broadcast the fireworks live beginning at 9PM.
