Wilmington, NC Commemorates Independence Day!!

Then at 5PM join the Riverfront Celebration on Water Street which goes until 10PM with food, music, fireworks and entertainment in Historic Downtown Wilmington! The 440th North Carolina Army National Guard Band will be performing in Riverfront Park and the evening’s festivities end with the 13th Annual Battleship Blast, a huge choreographed fireworks display beginning at 9:05PM that explodes over the Battleship North Carolina.  For more information on this and other events go to www.battleshipnc.com or call 910.251.5795 EXT.2048.

The City will be closing streets beginning at 2PM and will direct traffic during and after the event.  For those viewing the fireworks along the river bring your radios and tune to WGNI 102.7.  Primary viewing of the fireworks will be from downtown and WECT-TV 6 will also broadcast the fireworks live beginning at 9PM.  For more information and all the pertinent details call 910.341.7855 or log onto www.wilmingtonrecreation.com.
