When finished the work out center will have a movement/yoga room, spinning classroom, golf plaza, tennis pro shop, youth ace tennis center, gym with pressweights, aerobics rooms, and include the grill and seating area. The pool area is being redone and will have new infrastructure.
Demolition began in September and is now finished. This means construction will move quickly and the new structures will start going up soon. The pool, pool equipment building, pool bathhouse, and kid’s pool is scheduled to open before the completion of the fitness center.
More great news is that the project is currently on schedule. Check back monthly for updates on the renovations!

If you ever need to go to a hospital the Wilmington area is a great place to be. Wilmington area hospitals have recently been awarded excellent ratings for the New Hanover Regional Medical Center (NHRMC), NHRMC Home Care, and Pender Memorial Hospital.
NHRMC was awarded an A rating this fall by the The Leapfrog Group, an independent watchdog organization that gives scores to hospitals so members of the community are informed about their hospital. This is the sixth year in a row NHRMC has received an A rating, which only about a third of the rated hospitals achieved this year. The rating system is based on hospitals ability to protect patients from errors, injuries, infections, and accidents.
Additionally, NHRMC was recognized for their Home Care division, which was ranked as one of the Top 100 of the 2016 Home Care Elite list of agencies in the country. This is the third year they made the list that is sponsored by Decision Health.
In Burgaw, Pender Memorial Hospital was recognized for the second year in a row for it’s overall excellence in quality by iVantage Analytics and the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health.
