Celebrity Chef Guy Fieri was in town on Friday for a charity event held at the Country Club of 
Landfall! The host of the popular television show Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives was in town visiting local restaurants and attending the third annual GLOW Fundraiser, which is the Girls Leadership Academy of Wilmington. The chef was excited to see the community coming together to support the education of the young girls and of the girls for their determination to succeed. The Country Club of Landfall hosted the event, which included breakfast, lunch, and dinner events.
The fundraiser was to raise money for a new school that is being built in Wilmington for GLOW off of Kerr Avenue. The new school will offer a lot more resources, space, tools, and enhance the learning environment for the students. Expected to be completed in time for the 2019-2020 school year, this school will be a great new addition to the community!
