Azalea Festival week has officially started, which means this weekend some of Wilmington’s largest concerts of the year will take place.
Tonight the concert series kicks off with the Avett Brothers. This band from Concord, North Carolina has appeared on Jimmy Kimmel LIVE!, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Late Show with David Letterman, and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. The band has had numerous albums on the Billboard Top 100 Charts, with their highest, The Carpenter, reaching number 4. Performing at the Belk Main Stage tickets cost $55.00 and can be purchased at the Azalea Festival Ticket Office.
Friday night Snoop Dogg will be performing with Doug E. Fresh at the Belk Main Stage on North Front Street. Snoop Dogg is a multi-platinum artist, actor, and entertainment icon who has sold over 35 million albums. Tickets cost $46.50 for the concert, which starts at 7:00PM. Tickets are on sale at the North Carolina Azalea Festival Office located at 5725 Oleander Drive Suite B-7.
Finally, on Saturday night country music star, Chase Rice, will be performing with Kane Brown. Rice is best known for his song “Cruise” which was a Hot 100 hit. The show starts at 7:00PM and they will also be performing at the Belk Main Stage, an outdoor concert venue. Tickets for this show cost $36.50.
