Riverfest 3

As most Landfall, NC property owners already know,  this event is held annually to benefit the Cape Fear River environment and this year it kicks off with the Meka II Pirate ship (sponsored by WHET) exchanging fire with the Southport Cannon Group at 5PM on Friday, October 2nd.   Riverfest continues  October 3 and 4 with  activities, shows, competitions, a street fair and much, much more happening throughout the weekend.  Beginning at 10AM  on Saturday  you can take your little ones to the Kid Zone (a freebie at The Cotton Exchange), then over to the Adventure Zone (ride Fees), cruise through the Classic Car display (free), or visit the Exhibits and Displays (free).  You will have ample opportunity to peruse Arts & Crafts from around the country while keeping hunger at bay with the many food vendors.  Anxious for more?  You can wander along all evening stopping at the Rail Jam (free), enjoying the Street Dance (free), and watching the fireworks.

Tips for Home Sellers

Posted by

If you are considering placing your Landfall NC  home on the market for sale, there are a number of  mistakes you don’t want to make, yet which are common.  Some of these are:

1) Don’t think your home is special, and thus immune to normal market conditions.  Most everyone in Landfall has a special home.

2) Don’t ignore what your sales associates tells you about what has sold, and for what price.

3) Don’t fail to make needed repairs.

4) Don’t show a cluttered home.

5) Don’t be in the home during showings.

6) Don’t take negotiations or offers personally.  Remember, this is a business transaction to your prospective buyer.  You have no obligation to accept any offer below your asking price, but always respond professionally; you might be surprised by the prospect coming back at a latter date with a better offer.

Your Landfall Realty sales agent is always pleased to help with all components of the listing and sales process.

Fall Landfall Real Estate Update Forum

Posted by

As requested by a number of attendees at Landfall Realty’s spring real estate forum, I will host a fall followup at the Nicklaus Clubhouse at Country Club of Landfall at 5:30 pm on Wednesday, October 21st.  I will update Landfall transactions for the year, and comment upon regional and national real estate trends and their impact on Wilmington and Landfall.  Again, questions will be welcome, and there were many good ones last session.   I look forward to seeing you at the forum.   This time, the bar will be open at the Club following the gathering, so if the news is not to your liking, a drink can be purchased.
